360° quality inspection of curved surfaces Project type: Artifficial Intelligence Date 2023 In an automated system, small plastic bottles are to be controlled 360°. The bottle is located in a gripper and is moved through the testing station. The test station is set up with 4 cameras and 4 ring lights. 4 bottles are to be moved through the test area and tested in a cycle time of 1.4 seconds. The current setup with a controller-based system has the following problems: - The image is fuzzy at the desired speed of movement - The image field is poorly illuminated at the edges, which means that fault features are not there are sufficiently visible . It is now to be tested whether the structure can be physically optimized and what possibilities there are in camera technology to optimize image sharpness during testing.
