Best-before date inspection on beverage cans Project type: Food and Beveradge Date 2022 In the production by the customer, for various products, the minimum durability date is printed on the packaging with an inkjet printer directly before packaging. The packaging is immediately placed around the bar. The minimum durability date is then on the bottom and is difficult to control. Therefore, an image processing system is now to be used which ensures the presence and correct imprinting of the MHD directly after the inkjet printer. For this purpose, the image processing system will "read" each label after printing and compare it with the target text. If the reading is faulty, a digital 24V signal is switched that the customer can integrate into his process to eject products or stop the line.
