AI surface inspection of aluminium die castings Project type: Artifficial Intelligence Date 2021 In a test setup, it is to be determined whether the surface defects in aluminum die casting can be detected reliably in a 100% control by means of industrial machine vision. For this purpose, images of the sample parts are generated in the first step, preprocessed and prepared for AI training. The first step is a proof of concept.
