Battery cover and base inspection Project type: Batteries Date 2023 At the moment, all manufactured cells are manually controlled under a microscope. This process is to be automated. For this purpose, a collaborative robot is planned which removes the cells from a tray, holds them in a camera test station and then sorts them into an IO or NIO tray depending on the result. It must be ensured that all cells tested as IO are also 100 % IO. The scrap can be sorted manually into real scrap and pseudo committee. There are 4 different types of batteries, each with its own characteristics: Vent: 1. Welding 2. Corrosion 3. Dingle 4. Leaking 5. Bump Cover: 1. Hole 2. Welding 3. Rust 4. Outgoing conductors 5. Bump 6. Bottle GDF Filling tube: 1. Rust 2. Hole 3. leaking 4. Welding seam 5. Crack GDF: 1. Pin 2. Pin glazing 3. Egglet glazing 4. Welding 5. Glass damaged The robot programming and technical connection is handled by the customer. Cretec provides the design of the image processing components, 3D models and all hardware for image processing testing, as well as the integration of the image process system into the CoBot electrically and software. In addition, the industrial touchscreen as HMI and visualization of the test.
