Stator inspection at four stations Project type: Automotive Date 2023 The production of the statures at the customer should be automated. The robots for this application are available and a mechanical engineer supplies the hardware all around. CRETEC will design, integrate and put the image processing into operation. A PC with the customer system is available at each station. There will be 4 stations. Station 1: the robot removes the “naked” stator from a large tray. For this purpose, it receives the x/y and rotational position for each stator that sits in the tray from image processing. Station 2: After joining the paper insulators, the robot holds the stator in front of a camera. Image processing verifies the correct seat of the insulator. Station 3: the robot removes the refined stator from a small tray. For this purpose, the x/y+rotation position is again necessary, as well as the check that the connection points on the stator lie within the predetermined tolerance range. Station 4: The robot places the stator in a inspection cell, where various quality features are checked. - Casting all around - Lowerings, burrs, etc.
